Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (P.L. 117-58), officially enacting the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The BIL is hailed as a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s infrastructure, competitiveness, and communities.
The BIL provides $973 billion over five years from FY 2022 through FY 2026, including $550 billion in new investments for all modes of transportation, water, power and energy, environmental remediation, public lands, broadband and resilience.
BIL funding will flow through competitive grants and state formula allocations, and will be distributed through the following agencies:
